Shropshire Council has endorsed a decision to form a new
ALMO to manage its homes. Proposals to
form the new organisation went before a full council meeting, following a
consultation with tenants. The council
approved the decision to set up an ALMO to manage the council’s 4,200 homes
from next April. The organisation will
be run by a management board made up of tenants, councillors, independent
volunteers and housing staff. Final HCA
approval will be sought in early January 2013.
