The government has confirmed more than £500 million of new
funding for housing, including money to unblock stalled large-scale
development. The new funding, announced
in chancellor George Osborne’s autumn statement comes as a report outlining
ways to release surplus public land for new housing was released. Housing minister Mark Prisk confirmed that
the Homes and Communities Agency will administer £515 million of government
money to help both de-risk and fast-track the disposal of land. Read more on
