Public Attitudes to Housing

This paper was commissioned to contribute ideas to the Joseph Rowntree Foundation's Housing Market Taskforce. It aims to facilitate discussion by highlighting public attitudes to a range of key housing issues that are currently being debated. The paper examines:
* public attitudes towards housing tenure;
* public attitudes towards neighbourhood and property types;
* perceptions of housing taxation; and
* the implications of the evidence for reforming the housing system to support vulnerable households.
