Pay in the housing sector is predicted to rise by an
average of 2.5% in 2020/21, according to a survey of almost 60 housing
organisations. Sector recruitment, HR, and governance specialists ema
consultancy has asked for their pay-reward information each year, for the last
three years. This year’s survey saw the highest number of
participating associations and revealed plans to increase pay in the range of
2% to 3% with an average of 2.5% – compared with an average pay award in 2019
of 2.3%. Nearly a third are still debating their pay award, potentially due to
