TUC Reacts To New Standards In Social Housing

Reacting to Government plans to establish the TSA to ensure improved standards for the eight million tenants in social housing, TUC General Secretary, Brendan Barber, commented:
“This is good news for millions of working people across the UK who live in housing provided by local authorities and housing associations. “But improving service delivered to tenants will depend to a large extent on the quality of the workforce and their management. Public sector housing employees will be central to delivering the new standards on the ground and will need to be properly engaged and properly valued”.
