Social Housing Energy Saving Programme - PWA

Martin Horwood MP (Liberal Democrat Shadow Minister for the Environment): How much do the Government plan to spend on the Social Housing Energy Saving Programme in (a) 2009-10 and (b) 2010-11; and what estimate has been made of the (i) proportion of such expenditure to be incurred in England, (ii) the carbon savings to be achieved, (iii) the number of properties affected and (iv) the number of jobs created from such expenditure in each year?
David Kidney MP (Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change): The information is as follows:
(a) 2009-10-£54.5 million of funding has already been allocated
(i) 100 per cent of the funding is allocated to social housing providers in England, (ii) 52,000 tonnes estimated carbon saving (iii) 65,000 homes (iv) 1,300 Jobs
(b) 2010-11-£29.3 million of funding has already been allocated
(i) 100 per cent. is allocated social housing providers in England (ii) 34,400 tonnes estimated carbon saving (iii) 43,000 homes (iv) 900 Jobs
