‘Firm but Fair.’ Approach to Arrears Recovery – Testway Housing

Testway Housing has a 'Firm but fair' approach to arrears recovery. It places a strong emphasis on collecting rent in advance and taking swift action against non-payers as well as supporting vulnerable tenants. Before the keys to the property are handed over at sign-up, Testway insists on either:
*Two weeks’ rent and service charges paid up front; or
*Notification from the local housing benefits office estimating entitlement
