ALMO Petition Secures 500 Backers

A petition to reverse the government’s raid on funding for arm’s-length management organisations has reached its target number of signatures. The National Federation of ALMOs created the petition on the Number 10 website following a government decision in July to defer £150 million intended to fund ALMOs to carry out decent homes work. The petition has now reached 500 signatures, which means the government must issue a response to the NFA’s demands. The money had been intended for round six ALMOs, who had not been given a two-star rating by the Audit Commission. Read more on the Inside Housing website.
