Advisory Role for the HCA

The Homes and Communities Agency is set to become a smaller body which will help councils devise local investment plans and will work with health trusts, housing associations and voluntary organisations under a model similar to the previous government’s total place initiative. It is understood that the HCA will also help councils develop methods to access different sources of private finance and advise housing associations how to make the best use of their balance sheet capacity.
