Shapps to Tell NTV its Fate

Members of a new tenant body are waiting to hear whether it will be spared from the government’s quango cull. Leaders of the National Tenant Voice, which has 50 unpaid tenant representatives and a chair as well as a paid chief executive, say it fits with the government’s ‘big society’ idea of providing more public services through volunteers and charities. Senior members of the NTV are waiting to be called to a meeting with housing minister Grant Shapps where the fate of the body will be discussed.
