Social Rented Housing: Standards – PWA

John Healey: To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what estimate his Department has made of the number of (a) local authority and (b) housing association properties remaining to be refurbished under the Decent Homes programme on 31 March (i) 2010 and (ii) 2011.
Grant Shapps: The latest estimate is that there were 282,000 local authority and 134,000 housing association homes failing to meet the Decent Homes standard at the end of March 2010 and there will be 205,000 local authority and 100,000 housing association non-decent homes at the end of March 2011.
