Housing Benefit Reforms Put Nearly One Million Vulnerable People 'At Risk' – NHF

The Government’s controversial reform of housing benefit will result in an ‘onslaught on the vulnerable’, according to the NHF. The Federation believes that thousands of people from vulnerable groups will lose out under proposed housing benefit caps – even though ministers have repeatedly pledged to protect 'the vulnerable'. The Federation believes that overall the cuts to housing benefit will leave around 936,000 people at risk of being driven into debt, falling into arrears or losing their home, with a high proportion at risk of ending up homeless. Find out which groups and which locations are likely to be worst hit on the 24dash website by clicking on the logo below.
