HMO: Record Fine for Unlicensed Landlord

A private sector landlord has been fined £2,000, plus £750 costs for managing a ‘house of multiple occupation’ without a licence and in breach of fire regulations. These included poorly protected escape routes and an inadequate fire alarm system.
