The charity Empty Homes welcomes the announcement that the government will allocate £100million for bringing empty homes into use. The announcement was made in a letter to council leaders from Communities Secretary Eric Pickles. He said that £100 million would be made available to help bring empty homes into use as part of the national affordable housing programme.
