Grant Shapps: 'Localism Bill to Be Published Monday'

The long-awaited Localism Bill, which has been delayed twice by the Government, will be published on Monday 13 December, housing minister Grant Shapps has confirmed. He posted on his Twitter feed: "I can confirm that the Localism Bill will be introduced to Parliament this Monday coming." It follows a Parliamentary Statement by the housing minister spelling out further details of the Affordable Rent product housing associations will be able to offer new tenants from April 2011.
