Localism Bill: CLG Denies Delay

Communities and Local Government (CLG) has denied the Localism Bill has been delayed. Ministers had expected the Bill to be published at the end of November, however it's now emerged that it's unlikely to be published until just before Christmas. Communities secretary Eric Pickles has promised to turn Whitehall 'upside down' giving decision making responsibility for local housing to councils and encourage the creation of new trusts to provide homes. A CLG spokesperson said there had been no delay and that "It's due imminently". Read more on 24dash.
