London Mayor to Gain HCA Power

Eric Pickles has confirmed plans to devolve housing investment powers from the London Homes and Communities Agency to City Hall will be included in the coming Localism Bill. The communities secretary said the move would enable ‘more decentralised control over housing investment decisions’ in the capital. He also confirmed a package of other reforms in the bill.
