A rise in the number of homeless people has forced one
Devon district authority to consider creating its own temporary accommodation,
it says. Homeless people in Teignbridge are currently put up in B&B accommodation.
Seniors councillors said they were dealing with about 15 cases a week and the
figure was "increasing". They are to considering spending £400,000 on
buying a property to provide accommodation. The council will debate the plans
