Milton Keynes Council intends to buy homes with right to
buy sales cash to help ease a rental property shortage. The local authority
plans to buy 35-40 mainly one and two-bedroom homes. It is the preferred option
to designing and building new homes which, the council says, can typically take
up to three years, while buying existing homes on the open market takes less
