A London council is set to bring its housing management
service back in house to save at least £1m a year. Labour-led Waltham Forest
Council is considering scrapping Ascham Homes, which has managed the north-east
London borough’s 12,400 homes since 2003. Khevyn Limbajee, cabinet member for
housing at Waltham Forest Council, will recommend the change at a cabinet
meeting on 23 June and it is expected to be agreed by leading councillors. Read more on Inside Housing.
