The CLG has issued a request for data on councils'
housing stock to assist them in implementing the government's policy on sale of
local authority high value housing. The request to councils, made in a letter
dated 24 November, asks all stock owning local authorities to provide a
comprehensive range of information on their stock by 23 December 2015. The CLG
recognise there will be a cost to councils in compiling and providing the
comprehensive range of data requesting and will provide funding of £5,000 to
help meet the cost. Read more on the ARCH website.
