New research reveals three out of four public sector
professionals cannot afford to purchase a house
in England. The research from sellhousefast.uk exposes the extent by
which London’s property prices are forcing the likes of teachers, healthcare
professionals and police officers out of the capital and into the surrounding
counties. Examining four public sector professions in the UK, the research
contrasting their average take-home salary against the affordability of average
property prices across the UK. It then looked at how much they could afford
when purchasing a home, based on a single mortgage. The results revealed that
even doctors – traditionally well paid - are not immune to the ill effects of
