Housing Minister Heather Wheeler has announced a £2m fund
for councils to crack down on rogue landlords. The fund is intended for a small
minority of landlords who continue to break the law and offer inadequate or
unsafe housing. Councils will be able to bid for funding to increase
enforcement action against irresponsible landlords and to develop and test
innovative ways to clamp down on unsuitable accommodation. Read more on
