A sector doubling down on social housing delivery shows
government how to “put its money where its mouth is” on similar investment
through the upcoming spending review, the NHF says. Monica Burns, NHF Head of
Member Relations, said the Federation’s latest supply stats show that in just
three months, housing associations built around 11,500 new homes, 2,200 more
than the same period last year. Of these, 85% were affordable homes, including
1,300 for social rent. “This shows that the sector is continuing to build now,
but there is a risk that economic and political uncertainty could start to take
its toll,” said Burns. Read more on
