House prices across Britain reached a record average high of £250,000 in the year to November, new official figures show. The average cost of a home increased by 7.6 per cent over the period, up from a 5.9 per cent rise in the year to October. London's average house price surpassed the £500,000 mark for the first time in November 2020, with prices up 9.7 per cent in the year to November. Read more on the This is Money website.
