In an attempt to reduce incidences of homelessness for vulnerable people Your Homes Newcastle and Newcastle City Council introduced a new Protocol and procedures in July 2006. The Protocol sets out what is expected as good practice, from housing management staff, social care workers, and from a range of other agencies (voluntary and statutory sector) involved with applicants and social housing tenants.
