Bolton council’s executive has given the green light to ballot tenants over the stock transfer of 18,200 homes. The decision came at a cabinet meeting and paves the way for a consultation this summer on whether the council’s ALMO will take ownership of its stock.If the transfer to Bolton at Home goes ahead, tenants will see £124 million invested in their stock – nearly twice the amount the council could afford.
