Tenant Services Authority to be Abolished

A story in Inside Housing has revealed that Grant Shapps will use his speech to this week’s Chartered Institute of Housing conference in Harrogate to formally announce the Government’s plans to abolish the Tenant Services Authority. He has also suggested that efforts to reduce social housing waiting lists might include looking at the issue of security of tenure. Responsibility for regulating the financial governance of social landlords will be passed to the Homes and Communities Agency.
