Wycombe council tenants are set to lobby the district council on Monday 13 December to oppose the sell-off of 6,148 council homes to a new "not-for-profit" housing association. Wycombe District Council's cabinet has approved the recommendation to council for the transfer of its housing stock to Red Kite Community Housing. The tenants are expected to be asked to vote in a stock transfer ballot next Spring. On Monday 13th, the tenants will ask councillors to "ring-fence" the district's Housing Revenue Account, so that all of tenants' rent money is spent on council housing. The tenants have also written to all councillors, asking them to question the government's policy on new two-year tenancies. Read more on 24dash.
