ALMO Chief Suspended After Governance Fears

The chief executive of an arm’s-length management organisation has been suspended amid concerns about governance. Redbridge Council has suspended Sharon Standell from running its ALMO while an investigation takes place. The chair of the ALMO, Thomas Lewis, has also resigned. A council spokeswoman said: “Suspension is a neutral act to allow an investigation to be carried out, and does not imply any wrongdoing.” Read more on Inside Housing.
