National Tenant Voice Seeks Board

The recruitment process has begun to find six of the 15 board members for the National Tenant Voice. The other nine will come from the newly-formed National Tenant Council – a central part of the NTV. The board should be in place by the end of March. National Tenant Body Members Announced

The CLG has released the names of the 50 members of the National Tenant Council. Its members are made up of 20 people who were nominated from national and regional organisations for tenants, and 30 who applied through a recruitment process for tenants who are not already active in tenant groups. The successful candidates include NCH’s Tenant and Leaseholder Involvement Manager, Carole Donnelly. Tenant Council Applicants Oppose Government Policy

More than three quarters of people who applied to be on a body to give tenants more of a voice in housing want to change government policy.This was one of the findings of recruitment company Hays social housing as it searched for 26 housing tenants who have not been active in such matters before for the National Tenant Council.
