250 Words the Public Sector Shouldn't Use

The next time you’re having an area focused goldfish bowl facilitated conversation with one of your third sector customers in the world café, be aware that certain words are not on your menu of options if you wish to be an exemplar of meaningful dialogue (or trialogue if there is an enabler present, safeguarding the core values of the interface). To future proof the core principles of best practice interactivity, the Local Government Association (LGA) has proactively issued guidelines on which words not to use when engaging stakeholders and service users from the general populace. The list is the result of blue sky thinking from leading practitioners, all champions of the Predictors of Beaconicity. All words have been tested for soundness and sustainability and while some of you may cautiously welcome this initiative, for others it may appear to be simply a risk based wicked issue mechanism which simply advocates thinking outside of the box solely for the sake of a quick win.
