In 2010/11 it is expected that £1.2 million will be available for a pilot programme to test out different approaches for providing advice and support to low income working residents living in social housing. Housing associations, ALMOs, and stock owning local authorities will be able to apply. More information about the arrangements for bidding for pilots will be available shortly. In the meantime, landlords interested in considering submitting a bid should start thinking about the help and advice that they would want to provide for this client group, and should consult with, and gear up, potential local partners who might support such a bid.
