Concerns over Proposed Sheltered Housing Standard

ERoSH, the national consortium of sheltered and retirement housing, the Centre for Housing and Support (CHS) and Hanover Housing Group have raised concerns that a proposed European benchmark for sheltered housing will lower standards across the industry unless it is changed.  They believe that the proposed European standard ‘Sheltered housing - requirements for services for elderly people provided in a sheltered housing scheme' does not reflect the diversity of sheltered housing in the UK, and have identified gaps when comparing it to existing industry standards.
