Health Trusts Get £70m for Home Adaptation

The government has pledged £70 million to adapt the homes of people leaving hospital.  Health secretary Andrew Lansley told the Conservative Party conference that the money would go to councils and local health trusts to pay for adaptations which would enable patients to return home.  All primary care trusts will receive the funding in November, to be spent this financial year. Mr Lansley estimated it would help 35,000 people. Read more on Inside Housing.
