Council and Social Landlords Poised to Adopt New ASB Framework

Sunderland is to adopt a new work framework to help protect people from the effects of anti-social behaviour (ASB). Front-line staff from partners involved in protecting people and communities from ASB have been invited to the launch of the Home Office-backed ASB Risk Assessment Matrix (RAM) being held in the city. Partners will learn more about the training and how it will help them work even more closely together. Once in place the new ‘ASB Matrix' will;
- Provide a consistent approach across all services to assess victims using a numerical ranking system
- Use this ranking to highlight the most vulnerable victims affected by anti-social behaviour and ensure a package of support is designed to suit their individual needs
- Enable services to work together, concentrating more on helping the victim along with identifying and taking action against offenders
- Contribute to reducing repeat victimisation of individuals and families
