Delegates at the CIH conference have heard that pressure on housing providers to achieve value for money will be “ramped up” under a new regulatory system. Claer Lloyd-Jones, chief executive of the TSA told housing providers to expect a more intense approach to efficiency and savings once the TSA is abolished next year. Association boards will be expected to scrutinise their own costs during what will remain an era of “value for money and austerity”, she told the Chartered Institute of Housing’s annual conference in Harrogate.
