Homeless Charity Crisis has passed the half way mark towards its target to house almost 1,700 single homeless people in privately rented homes across England. The charity has now helped more than 800 people get access to a property. The Private Rented Sector Access Development Programme, which in its first year has funded and supported 49 schemes across England, is administered by Crisis and funded by the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG). These schemes offer assistance and advice on finding suitable accommodation. They also provide a range of support services including advice on budgeting and paying bills.
