The National Audit Office is to probe the risks the Affordable Homes Programme poses to the financial viability of housing associations. The study will look at the role played by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), the Tenant Services Authority (TSA) and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). The examination will determine whether the HCA and the TSA are “effectively addressing risks to the financial viability of the social housing sector, while optimising taxpayer interests”.
