Three quarters of the 100 largest regeneration projects in
the country are led by the Homes and Communities Agency, or have received
funding from the Agency in the last 12 months, according to a definitive
industry listing. Published annually,
Regeneration and Renewal magazine’s Top 100 details progress against the
biggest regeneration schemes, ranked by investment values ranging from £6.8bn
to £120m. Now in its fifth year, the
2012 listing includes 68 HCA schemes, equating to 75% of the total in England. The HCA schemes range from the £4.6bn Greenwich Peninsula
– the largest geographic regeneration area in Europe
– to the £120m Heart of Slough development of new homes with a cultural
