Resident-Led Community Grant Scheme

Herefordshire Housing has run its Community Grant scheme since 2009. Under the scheme, community groups and other organisations bid for a share of the fund, which was worth £25,000 in 2012. A resident-led Grant Assessment Panel (the GAP) decides how the money is best allocated, ensuring that it benefits as many residents and communities as possible at ‘grass roots’ level. In 2011, the GAP helped a wide variety of projects throughout Herefordshire by approving over £22,000 in funding across 15 separate groups. Read more on the Herefordshire Housing website.
