CLG Spends £23m on Restructuring HCA

Restructuring the Homes and Communities Agency cost the government £23 million in the last financial year, government figures have revealed. The CLG’s annual report for 2011/12 includes the figure in a breakdown of the organisation’s £26 billion net operating costs.  The restructure of the HCA, which was announced in November 2010, included plans to transform the agency from a funding body into a smaller ‘enabling’ institution working with local authorities, with 13 of its 17 offices closed and a reduction in senior staff. Download a copy of the report from the CLG website.
