Council Confirms Departure of Missing ALMO Chief

The chief executive of the country’s biggest ALMO is to step down with immediate effect.  Peter Morton, chief executive of Sheffield Homes, which manages 42,000 homes for Sheffield Council, will leave the organisation immediately. His post will be made redundant, along with the post of director of customer services.  Mr Morton said: ‘As the city’s council housing service starts laying new foundations, I have decided it’s time to step down by taking voluntary early retirement.’ Read more on the Sheffield Homes website.
