The number of people helped by Shelter's housing advice
helpline who are either homeless or at risk of losing their home has increased
by 80% in the last three years. The
number of families with children needing advice about homelessness has
increased by 92% over the same period. The new figures also show a 17% increase
in visits to pages providing homelessness advice on the Shelter website,
compared to a 3% increase last year.
