A pan-European homelessness group has called on EU member
states to develop a more integrated approach to address the rise in
homelessness across the continent. In a
report on homelessness policy, FEANTSA found that homelessness had increased
over the past five years in 15 out of 21 EU member states. The report links the
increasing prevalence of homelessness in part to the continuing economic crisis
affecting the continent, but also to the failure of individual states’ own
policies and ‘longer-standing structural problems’. Download a copy of the report from the
FEANTSA website.
