Cameron: Bedroom Tax Is Not a Tax

David Cameron has angrily rejected the term ‘bedroom tax’ as he faced questions about the controversial policy for the second week running at prime minister’s questions.  The prime minister faced several questions, including from Labour leader Ed Miliband, during a stormy debate in the Commons chamber.  A visibly frustrated Mr Cameron said: ‘I don’t accept the bedroom tax is a tax – it’s an issue about benefit, the fact is as a country we are spending £23 billion on housing benefit.’  Read more on Inside Housing.
