housing in converted shipping containers has been submitted to Brighton and Hove City Council. Brighton Housing Trust and developers QED
have proposed the 36 containers in order to provide temporary accommodation for
the city’s homeless. The temporary homes
would sit on the site for a maximum of five years. Ross Gilbert from QED, said: “This scheme, if
agreed, would put Brighton and Hove at the forefront of innovation, alongside Amsterdam and Bremen,
in providing imaginative and high quality temporary use.” Read more on 24dash.
