The appointment of the National Housing Federation (NHF) to
the Government’s strategic panel on health and care is a welcome recognition of
the importance that housing plays in people’s well-being, the organisation
said. The NHF is one of 21 voluntary
sector organisations that will be part of the new Health and Care Voluntary
Strategic Partner Programme for 2013/14. The programme has been running for
four years and brings together a range of voluntary sector organisations to use
their expertise to inform and shape national policy. It joins organisations
such as Age UK, Community Service Volunteers, NACRO, Disability Rights,
National Children’s Bureau, and others on the programme. Read more on the
