The government's cap on the total amount of benefits a
non-working household can receive has affected 8,400 households between April
and August. The DWP says 77% of those affected lost up to £100 a week. Just over half of these were households with
between one and four children. The figures only cover those first affected by
the cap and do not cover the whole country. The 10-week roll-out was only
completed last week. Download the figures from the Govuk website.
