A London ALMO is aiming to chop its tenants' fuel bills
by 30%. CityWest Homes, which manages thousands of homes on behalf of
Westminster Council, has teamed up with The Chopping Company to install a
heating control device that could save residents money while cutting carbon
emissions. The Chop-Cloc device is attached to a central heating system which
it then programmes to cut out for a set number of minutes each hour. This
reduces the amount of energy used without the homeowner feeling any difference
to the temperature - bringing savings which could rise as high as 30%. Read more
